For Scouts BSA & Venturing

Nine youth members of Troop 87 and one of their adult leaders prepare to leave the campsite for a day of outdoor fun!

Great Falls Council and Scouting America is built on the idea that you can’t have Scouting without the Outing!

Great Falls offers many opportunities for our Scouts to get outdoors.

Scouts BSA Resident Camp – Camp offers over 50 merit badges each summer including 9 or more Eagle Required Merit Badges along with an extensive open program that includes the Gorton Trail Hiker Award, Shooting Sports Top Shot Award, Nature Award, Scoutcraft Woodsman Award, Polar Swim and Fish, Mile Swim, and several other programs. Designed to meet the demands of new scouts to the experienced scout at camp.

Birchbark Expeditions – Nationally Accredited week-long, fully guided and turnkey high adventure canoe experience, steeped in the rich Age of Exploration history. Operated by volunteers in the Great Falls Scout Council, the program offers three different options.

Unit Camping Opportunities – Your Unit can camp at any one of our three great properties! Spots at Camp Gorton, Camp Sam Wood, or Camp Scouthaven can be rented on our Facility Rental system.
