Eagle Scout and Athens Area High School senior Pierce Oldroyd of Troop 4018 (Sayre, PA) has been nominated by PA’s 9th District Congress Member Dan Meuser to attend not one, but all three major U.S. service academies: the United States Military Academy at West Point, the United States Naval Academy, and the United States Air Force Academy.
Pierce has a 4.0 GPA and is Vice President of the Class of 2025. He participates in track, swimming, and cross-country at the varsity level. Pierce’s Eagle Scout project was the restoration of Barracks #3 at the Elmira Civil War Prison Camp Museum.
